Effective Vs Bad Communication


Hi Bloggers,


Many times you want to communicate to people and you want them to do certain things. A good communicator will say what he WANTS not What he DOESN'T want. Always construct your instruction in a positive manner.




Bad Communication:
1. Please dont FORGET our appointment,ok.
2. Please dont make the same MISTAKES again. 
3. Mommy/Daddy doesn't like you to be NAUGHTY . 
4. Please stop SHOUTING & MAKING so much noise.


The instruction may seem clear to you ie., what you do not want the other person to do but maybe not clear to other people.




Our brain will only REGISTER what it WANTS to hear!


That's why:
1. The more you remind, the more your partner/spouse forgets.
2. The more you remind your workers, themore mistakes they will make
3. The more you scold/nag at your child, the naughtier he becomes.
4. The more you tell your students to keep quiet and behave, the noisier and more rowdy they become.


There are many other examples of Wrong and Ineffective Communication


So, now you know,right? 
Next time, remember to choose the suitable appropriate words to ensure your instruction is clear and effective.




A Better Effective way to say the above samples:


1. Please REMEMBER our appointment at 8 tomorrow morning. 
2. Please do your job CAREFULLY. 
3. You are a SMART kid. Mommy/Daddy likes it when you are          WELL BEHAVED.
4. Please Be a Little QUIET & Speak with your NORMAL  Voice. Thank you.
