Could You Tick 31 million times?

A clock smith made a new clock for his shop. When the clock is ready, the clock smith asked it.

CS: You are now ready for sale. But I have a question to ask you.Are you willing to tick at least 31,104,000 times per year?
C:   What?? I don't think I could afford to tick that many times!
CS: Okay. How about 86,400 times a day?
C:   Eighty four thousand four hundred times ? With my small, thin needle? He answered with doubts.
CS: How about 3600 times an hour?
C: .....
CS: If that's the case, are you willing to tick once for every second?
C: That I am willing to do!

So the clock began its duty to tick every second..It ticked and ticked and without it realising, a year had passed. And he had ticked 31,104,400 times. That was more than what the clock smith requested in the first place.

What have we learnt from this story? Sometimes we are doubtful of the task given as it looks very heavy, even though we have not tried it yet. Initially, we would think it is such a difficult task. Most of us fear of the unknown. We are afraid to venture into a task as it seems too difficult or heavy when in reality,it is not that heavy.Never under estimate our own capabilities. Try out first. Then only we would know if we were or weren't able to execute the task. If we failed, that does not mean we are a failure. It just means that we can try out again and again until we succeeded. If we succeeded first time, use that as a drive for ourselves to venture into other challenging tasks.

Thanks for reading.
